Back from AOD
Aug. 27th, 2007 07:48 pmWell, aside from losing a good deal of sleep on Friday to finish up the AMVs to be shown it was a good time had by all. I just need to remember I am a bit of a grump when I'm sleepy...
The Cathedral Hill Hotel is a nice venue for the convention, although it would be nice if they replaced the mattresses on the beds. I was not alone in feeling they were much too hard. Also a source of loss of sleep. Mel's Drive in, still a fun place to go eat in San Francisco and please do try their Chicken Pot Pie Blue Plate Special. Whew! I didn't think it would be that big... *burp*
The trip home was an adventure. Donna got dinged by the TSA (Tourism Suppression Agency) for a pocket knife in the bottom of her purse. It took the guy 5 minutes to find the thing and then we had to run across the Oakland Airport terminal to reach our flight. ($%#@#$$% Nazi's) Plus one of our bags missed the flight because the same damned TSA decided to search it which meant we had to wait for it to arrive on the next flight. On the plus side, Southwest was very nice and even gave us a $50 voucher for our trouble. More than that bald asshole in Oakland gave us. Grrrrr.
This morning, heard Alberto Gonzalez has resigned effective September 17th. Well Al, don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya. Also, I'd get a couple of good lawyers if I were you. Lawyers way better at interpreting the law then you are...
Long day at work but good overall. Just a bit tired still from the weekend. (Am I alone here?)
Ah well, back to your regular programming.
