The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

kyburg started her new job today and things went quite nicely by all reports. Its smaller and quite different from her last job, but all in all it looks good. Sadly, because she won't have enough time with the company, she won't be able to take any time off when Xander gets here and I'll be traveling to Taiwan solo.
The Bad: LA traffic. 'Nuff said.
The Ugly: Dow Jones falls 777 points after the House of Representatives voted against Bush's $700 billion bailout plan. 60% of the Republicans and 48 Democrats voted to scuttle the deal. Hopefully this will get them to work out a better plan than the one that was rejected. Stay tuned...

This is by no means a popular vote, and right before an election too. Of course, they will probably vote on it again; it will be interesting what happens next.
