Love the top one and the one with the many voices - can you explain the second one, and the one with the bottle and the.. elephant? Political cartoons often need more knowledge of references than a foreign viewer has :)
Well, the second one is a play on the Dewey beats Truman headline because McCain was saying how he was going to come from behind just like Harry Truman did in 1948. (Note Truman was a Democrat...) It also refers to how Bush beat McCain in the primaries during the 2000 race where Bush used the same smear tactics on McCain that were used this time trying to beat Obama. (Nice to know the Rove tactics aren't nearly as effective. Now to go and repudiate Prop 8...)
The one with the bottle: Look closely at the label which reads "McCain-Palin Distillers". The Republican Elephant got really drunk on the stuff McCain-Palin was selling and is now going to have to go off to 'sober up'. It's nice they had a little Obama in the bottom corner looking concerned and asking is the elephant was going to be ok...
