unclejimboBeen a busy couple of days. Christmas Eve party here, spending the day with family on Christmas day, having friends over and running around on the 26th...
And so, today was the day to go and watch the folks at Shinsengumi make mochi. You take cooked rice, put it in a stone bowl and pound the tar out of it with big, wooden mallets. It's harder than it looks, I know, I tried it out.
It was a lot of fun, but I'm sure to be feeling it in the morning. It is a lot of exercise. But the end result is worth it... Mmmmm, freash mochi...
