Has 9/11 changed GW?
Sep. 1st, 2002 10:30 pmThis is the question posed on the Newsweek website.
The only thing, I feel, that has been made clear is that this man is an idiot with a true war-monger as his VP. We can be glad that Colin Powell is there to reign in those cowboys before they go and do something truly stupid.
Sure, I want to see an end to terrorism. I would like to see Saddam out on his ass and in the Hague for a War Crimes Trial. But Bush has been nothing but an utter embarrassment. In less than a year, he has pissed away all the goodwill generated by the World Trade Center attacks by beating the 'Let's Attack Iraq (sic. North Korea, Iran, Libya, the West Bank, etc...) drum to the exclusion of all else.
And there are so many people who are buying into this line of nonsense. Why do I feel like those folks crying in the night just before Hitler and the Nazis took control of Germany? I've even had spam mail sent saying that we should curtail our 1st Amendment rights.
I think not.
Anyway, check the link and if you agree or disagree, let's hear it. I still believe in the Constitution anyways.
