At AX 2003 (but still at home ^^ )
Jul. 5th, 2003 12:40 amThe day went well, we got into the con about 11:30 after taking care of things around the house. Got to the VIZ booth and recieved our tickets to the Ranma 1/2 Last Episode party. Yes, after 8 long years, they're rapping it up. No more new episodes after November.

kyburg and I went to the Kinko's at the convention center to print out some signs for Donna's LJ meet up at the con. For those out there reading this, it is Saturday at 2 PM at the fountain in the lobby of the Hilton. We'll see you all there.
However, when Donna checked her Live Journal account, we learned that Barry White had died. Kidney failure. Not a pleasant way to go.
Went to the party. Among the guests were the director of the dubs, Toshi (who Donna knows!), and the voice actors for Ranma and Akane. (Not the original Ranma, the replacement. And boy does this guy get annoying after a while. The young woman who voiced Akane was very pleasant and quite attractive.) The "show" also consisted of a "martial arts" demonstration. Let me tell you, these people were lame! But don't take my word for it. You'll be able to see for yourself when the last box set comes out. They filmed the party and it will be included with the Extras on the DVD.
So now, tired and ready for bed. More con tomorrow... Also have to remember to call my mom before I head out.
