No one loves being sick, especially when you always feel ready to puke and need to keep the toilet in easy reach...

Thank goodness I have sick time built up. At least I get paid.

Slept until it was time for Donna to leave, then had to move my car so she could get out.

Now listening to on broadband. Maybe I'll call Randi Rhodes and say hi.

I got onto the Randi Rhodes show on Air America this afternoon. Well, at least I did something constructive on my sick-day off...

I sat on hold for about an hour, but I got through. If you are on the West Coast, I'll be on at about 4:40 PM. Listen for me, I'm Jim from LA... I read one of my favorite quotes to counter the comments by Karl Rove and Bill O'Reilly. Randi was familiar with it and picked it up about 2/3rds the way through. I got disconnected, sadly right after that, sadly, I really wanted to say more. Oh well...

I was on right after the fellow who lost both sons in Iraq... Both sons!!!

And Liberals are traitors?!? We didn't want to get ready to go to war after 9/11? I was ready to go enlist myself but was too old and getting ready to marry kyburg. Yeah, we're a bunch of traitors.

Complaint about the Greatest American...

Here is the text of my message to the Discovery Channel:

I tuned into the Greatest American program and was shocked to find Ann Coulter sitting as one of your pannelists. This woman believes that Joseph McCarthy was a 'great American' and her extremist views should have disqualified her from being involved with this panel. Having her on this program is as offensive as listening to Roseanne Barr sing the national anthem. Her presence is inappropriate as a choice for a program to be taken seriously as a patriotic program. I would hope that the Discovery Channel would use better judgement in the future. As Ms. Coulter is likely to remain, my wife and I will not be taking this program very seriously.


One can only hope that they will listen to reason.
