The "Leave No Child Behind" Act of 2002 has a number of interesting attributes. Here's my favorite. NPR only just now discovered it due to one of it's contributors had a son in High School and recieved a letter from a recruiter.

Yes, the Schrub (who I lovingly refer to as Wanker) had his cronies sneak this in at the 11th hour late at night when only those night-owls who only watch C-Span would see...

Somedays you just need more pretzels.

Doesn't matter in the end, when I was in High School I already was getting phone calls to join the service. It was either when I had to register for Selective Service at age 18 or the fact that the High School had an Army ROTC program. But yea, it's a crappy little extra they threw in the bill... I still question why we still have to register for Selective Service still?!? Of course though, they are calling for the return of the Draft again... not the fact that the Military is actually trying to slim-down in numbers now. ^^;

Let's face it, we live in a society now that is scared of what is outside (and inside) our borders. At least we have the right to bare arms still, so we can shoot all the scared losers! ^_^
