Escrow, being sick and stuff...

unclejimboWell, we signed all the paperwork on Tuesday for the house. Egad. That pile of paper was at least 2 inches deep. And ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kyburg and I signed and initialed most of them. But we got just about everything we could have hoped for.
6.25% interest over 30 years. (Don't get me started on the numbers. They are still sinking in... $275,113 in principal... @.@ ) A lot of sticker shock going down. Donna took it in stride but I think I surprised the notary. I don't think he ever dealt with a first time home buyer like me before. Even so, he was very thorough and explained things I didn't understand.
And on top of that, Donna and I have been sick. Lovely little bug she brought home. She got it first, then me. I'm heading in today but I'm not quite 100%... ugh. But with the first mortgage payment due on July 1st, I need to get all the hours I can get. Overtime, here I come.
In other news, I'm getting closer to finishing Pokemon Ruby. I've evolved quite a few of my Pokemon, most recently Golbat to Crobat. (Crobat is a bad ass ^^) And in honor of Strongbad, I have renamed my Groudon, Trogdor. (Trogdor comes in the NIGHT! :p )
