Saw on Google News that Charles Bronson died today. He was 81.

I remember Death Wish and the "Spaghetti" Westerns he did back in the day. My favorite film was The Great Escape where he played a tunnel "rat" who was claustraphobic.

He was one of a kind and will be missed.

Later, Chuck.

Do you think that, once he got into Heaven, he kicked God's ass just to see if he could?

Just wondering.

Nope, but if anyone gives God any lip, you know who's going to be "God Damn Pissed Off!"

just wanted to let you know that my brother joe had colon surgery done a week ago today. monday they said the results were it was stage 1 of cancer, and they had removed a foot of his colon. they said they caught it in time and he would have no need for chemo or any other type of treatment. it will take him a couple of weeks to recup, but i figured that is to expected.
i want to thank you for your concern, prayers, good thoughts and what not.
i am having a hard time being the biblical character Job with a lot of other things going on. as i tell my family - i am waiting for my crops to decay and cattle to die.
well, i keep going because if i don't - no one else will. i found out something good about my son - in a weird sort of way. he doesn't have a neurological disorder, which is all good and fine - but they still don't know why he has numbness and other problems that an old man should have and not a 17 yr. old boy. still, they are working on it. now they want to do a muscle biopsy.
this thrills me to no end.
i thank god that he has helped me with my daughter in keeping her in school.
anyhow, drop me a line.

southern calif.

I'm not the most biblical person either. Still, I talk to God and he listens so its all good. The best we can do is to keep plugging along. Things will usually work out in the end but rarely as we expect them. Before I met [livejournal.com profile] kyburg in late 1999, I didn't think I'd wind up out in Soutern California let alone owning a house 3 1/2 years later. ^^

The news about your brother's cancer is just wonderful. I am so happy for your family. They did catch it early enough so he'll have a lot of years of being around for you all to enjoy. See if you can find him some books, DVDs and such. Recovering from surgery (especially around the keister) is painful and boring.

What's going on with your son is a mystery to be sure. It sounds like the doctors are being methodical in figuring out what is bothering him. Stay calm and if they tell you something for certain in the future, just look 'em in the eye and ask, "Okay, so now what do we do?"

If you want to send me e-mail directly, my address is jtbell2@hotmail.com And as you might have guessed, my name is Jim. ^^
