A quick post before

kyburg and I go off and do some last minute shopping for the trip.

I have to work this weekend, evenings. I get off work Sunday night/Monday morning at midnite and need to be up and ready to be picked up by the shuttle to the airport at 9:45 AM.

Oh well... I'll cope. Got most of what I want to wear packed in the new suitcase. I have so much room to spare, I'm thinking of packing a second bag just for souveniers. I could pack my laptop in there and have no problem with space. This thing is huge.

This is just totally wrong. Any dittohead would be immediately insulted but I found it mildly humorous. I'll allow you all to decide what you think yourselves.

MP3 players here, cameras here, media cards here... This is going to be an incredible trip. We went out to get travelers cheques yesterday in Beverly Hills. The office was around the corner from the office of a doctor who operated on my butt a few years ago. If you ever need hemmorroids removed, this guy is the one to see. So Donna and I were laughing as we drove by the outpatient surgery center about how they ripped me a new one in Beverly Hills and I paid them $3000 to do it.

Lunch was at a wonderful Italian Bistro just down the street from the AmEx office. I had what amounted to a Hot Pocket on steroids. The crust was so light and fluffy, I was surprised when there was nothing left of it when I was finished. I thought there would be something left to take to work today.

Now need to go forth and get asprin so we don't develop blood clots in our legs during the 12-14 hour flight, Gummi Bears (<-- real ones, not the cheap kind they make here in the US) at the Alpine Village, and tickets for the Ghibli museum in Tokyo. We're not sure about that last one. The museum is reservation only and we're doing this at the last minute.

ass_'s phone post last night. That was an adventure, I don't do that type of thing, or typing for that matter :p, so it took me a while to do a 3 minute post. I'm sure a court transcriptionist could have done it in real time. Oh well, I'm still better at x-rays... :p I'll stick to that.
