unclejimboSuch a fun week so far.
The Repugnicans force through some VERY questionable legislation about Terri Schiavo in hopes of getting her feeding tube reinserted. (Let the poor woman go already.) It went through the Senate quickly I think partly because there were only 3 people in the chamber. Any guesses on how many were Dems?
A kid in Minnesota goes on a killing spree and takes out 10 people plus himself.
Now the family of Ms. Schiavo are trying to get an appeal through because the Federal Judge didn't follow the directions in the law passed by Congress in the dead of night.
So what did I do today? Yardwork. I fought the battle of the weeds in my front yard. On a good note, the grass seed I planted a few weeks ago is sprouting. Hopefully it will come on more fully as the spring progresses.
Not much else going on. MY B-day is Saturday... Sadly, I have to work it and the day after is Easter. I dunno what I'm going to do to celebrate. After working the hospital, I usually want to fall down and take a nap.
*Urrr* Headache coming on. Need to take some meds.

Date: 2005-03-24 12:53 am (UTC)I am mostly annoyed with the fellows in the Senate (all 3 of them) who approved this measure and sent it to the House. I always thought the Senate required a quorum to operate... Its the idea that they are turning this family's tragedy into a political football is what annoys me most.
I try to be moderate on most things. Heck, when it comes to fiscal matters, I'm more conservatinve than most. If you don't have the money, don't spend it! *Rurr* :p
Besides, it's only my opinion, right?
And I have always maintained that with either party, the way you can be certain they are lying to you is when their mouths are moving.
