unclejimbo | Family Reunion... Part Deux

Well, after all the headaches with the car and getting Donna's laptop back, things went pretty well. (Southwest had a fellow drive the laptop out to my mom's house. Only problem he had is that her street isn't on Mapquest yet... Those guys really need to update their maps...)

We drove down Saturday morning to Tennessee and we got to see people who I haven't seen in about 10 years. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins (plus their kids!!!), we had about 100 people show up for the party from 5 generations... Good grief!

I didn't even recognize my nephew Matt when he hopped out of the car. He's only 16, right? Why is he so damn tall??? And he has my old hyper-metabolism in spades. He'll eat you out of house and home and not put on an ounce.

We had the party in a park in Clinton. Big picnic with most of the food bought at WallyWorld (aka Walmart) I didn't buy it, I don't shop there, but the chicken was okay. Still, my Aunt Yung from Korea decided to make some Om(sp?) Rice for us... All of us... I didn't know Tupperware made containers that big. And this crew ate it all. Yung cooks GOOOOOD!!!!

My older brother wanted Donna and I to come up to Cincinnati for dinner before we flew home. Not my first choice, I'm still a bit mad at him for the stuff he pulled with my niece. (Abusive, throwing her out for 'religious' reasons, etc.) Donna's more angry than I am. She would have laughed in his face. Me? I was very diplomatic in turning him down. *Sigh* Wish he'd grow that brain. I'm getting tired of avoiding fights.

Anyways, we all stayed until the park closed after dark. Actually we stayed a bit beyond that, but there was goodbyes to say and stuff to clean up for the next guy. Plus Donna got to see a whole field full of lightning bugs.

Well, got to go and see a nephew graduate tonight. I'll post more as I think on it. Plus pictures soon. I just need a place to store them.
