Yes, here us our cake from the baby shower. Wish you could have smelled it. It just filled the room with the scent of chocolate goodness...

My SIL bought it so sadly I don't know which bakery down here did the work. It was decadently delicious, a mix of red velvet cake, butter cream icing and the chocolate shell. (Think Tootsie Rolls flattened out and shaped to fit, only better.)

oh wow! you guys are adopting a baby? did I get that right? or did I completely get that wrong? I think you will make an excellent dad. anybody will be lucky to have you has a dad.

Yup, we're in the final stages of adopting a little boy from Taiwan, his journal is xanxanbell if you want to see what he looks like.

Also we're waiting on a little girl from China, but that one still looks like we'll be waiting a while, 2010 at least.

I hope I do okay as a dad. With my own history, that's something I'll worry about until he's like 30 or so... :)

First quarter of 2009. We're expecting to go in January, but it could be as late as April. As soon as we know, we'll let you all know as well.
