In other news: As kyburg reported yesterday we have officially received our first decree from the court in Taiwan. The clock has started and we should travel in 6 to 8 weeks. Purchased a CARES restraint for the flight home with the kiddo. It is a harness that fits onto airline seats and provides the same type of restraint as a car seat but fits easily into your carry on luggage. (It's even approved by the aviation authorities in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.)

that thing is awesome... though my britax carseats were always plane-approved... and i did take some joy in clonking people with it down the aisle after they wouldn't let me pre-board with my 2 y/o.

yeah me too... we are actually on our 3rd... she outgrew her roundabout, and the first booster had to be replaced after we got hit by a drunk driver this summer. the peace of mind and quality is worth every penny.

I agree there are people who are begging for a severe clonking (or a shoe thrown a them... ^^) but with a 3 y/o who doesn't speak English in tow, I think it better not to press my luck. Plus we don't have to check the damned thing on the way to Taiwan!
