Thanksgiving +2

Well, listened to some phone posts... Interesting... Quite a few people get very silly doing those... Donna and I may have to give it a go in the near future...

Mom's visit is half way gone. :( It has been really nice having her around and even better that she's in a better place than she has been in many years. Go mom! She took the loss of my grandmother very hard last year and needed a push to get into some therapy so she could deal with it and move on. I still miss my grandmother and I'll hurt a lot when my mom goes in years to come. (Many years I hope very much!)

We're going to Disneyland today. She hasn't been there since I was a kid so things have changed as lot. Some things are still there, "Small World", "Haunted Mansion", "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Peter Pan"; but so much wasn't or was being built. Must remember to take her on "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" *Grins evilly*

We took a boat ride from the Redondo Pier yesterday. Went out probably 2 miles off shore, which is the furthest I've ever been off shore in a boat. ^^ But on the way back in we took a detour to the south and found a pod of dolphins. Unlike Donna and my last experience on the boat, the weather was REALLY nice and the dolphins were in the mood to play. We saw about 8-10 and we're pretty sure we saw a couple of juveniles. Baby Dolphins in the wild!!! BONUS POINTS!!

Thanksgiving... Just check out kyburg's journal for pictures and updates. She was stressing so much about what her family would think. Let me just say this, folks... Martha-fricking-Stewart had nothing on my wife that day! Donna rocked, I was there to help and do the heavy lifting... ^^ Oh and get the stuff off the high shelves... "Honey, can you get that for me..." (Somedays it sucks to be 6' 4"... Oh well...)

Not much else to say. Took on my nephew in a Pokemon battle. He had a couple of 100 lvl ringers and I still kicked his butt... He threw down the gauntlet for Christmas... Bwaa Ha Haaaa... I already have 2 100 lvls and more will be ready by Dec 20th... *BIG EVIL GRIN*

Also having fun with "Ultimate Ride Coaster Deluxe" by Disney interactive. Sure, Roller Coaster Tycoon lets you design rides, Coaster Deluxe let's you RIDE 'em...

KITTY UPDATE

Ai-chan went to the vet yesterday. (Can you believe I managed to get an 11:30 AM appointment?) Sadly, she has a scratch on her inner eyelid and it is not happy. The doctor told me that cat scratches infect easily. I should have showed her my legs... ^^ We put the phosphoresent dye in to check her cornea. Thankfully no scratch there.

We have eyedrops for her and Ai-chan is wearing a collar to protect her from rubbing... Fat lotta good that's doing, she's just rubbing against things instead of using her paws... She should be better in about 10 days. We put in drops morning and night and the kitty is not going to like it much. Poor thing. She's been very clingy again. So I didn't get much sleep last night as I'd have liked.
