GOP Chairman Walks Out of Raucous Hearing

I watched part of this on C-Span. The footage is available to watch on streaming video. I am more than likely going to save the footage at home (all 2 hrs of it) so to have it available in the event that the Republicans decide to try to bury the story or say that it did not happen at all.

Rep. Sensenbrenner (R-Wisconsin) was abrupt and hostile to the Democrats who had the audacity to call for the hearing using House rules to insure a fair hearing from all sides of an issue. He was outright rude to the witnesses and when he decided he had enough he abruptly gaveled the meeting closed and gathered up his cronies and left and ordered the microphones shut off.

The footage is damning. I first heard about it from Randi Rhodes on Air America and lorriejharris posted about this earlier.

Spread the word, folks. These guys are fascists and need to be reminded who they work for... US!

U.S. Death Toll in Iraq Crosses 1,700

*sigh* Those poor families... Yep, it's Vietnam all over again... I really don't want to see any Iraq War movies in 10 years or so, but you know we're going to get 'em.
