Quick update then bedtime
May. 16th, 2003 11:31 pmWent with Donna to see X-men 2. We both agreed we liked it but were at odds about how the writers are going to progress. Not to be a spoiler, but it does seem like they are planning on doing a Phoenix Saga type thing for the next X-movie. Should be interesting.
Nightcrawler (a personal fave) was done right and they finally let Wolverine cut loose. Literally. (Oooh, you know he's dead. / That'll leave a mark!)
The best thing is that the X-men movies, I think, have avoided all the mistakes of the Batman movies. Okay, the costumes are the same, but the casting is better and the characters are staying quite recognizeable. Unlike the Batman series, where the men playing Batman change just about every other movie and they all seem to be trying to become Adam West... ^^
All things being equal. X-men 2 is a must see. Next in line, Matrix 2. And more than likely, Finding Nemo. (Okay I go for the cutesy CGI movies... So shoot me already...)
