I still remember going to the theater to watch Superman the Movie. (Need to watch it tomorrow...) I remember reading how instead of having pads sewn into the costume, Christopher went out and put on 25 pounds of solid muscle to 'look' the part of Superman. From here on out, all others will be compared to him.
9 1/2 years in the wheelchair. He worked hard to teach from his seat, to show us that those without the use of their arms and legs can make a significant contribution to the world. He even found time to direct and act in some movies and in a recurring role on Smallville. Man of Steel indeed!
