Home sick... Yet Again...
Jan. 18th, 2007 07:38 amThis time it's my left eye. I think it is a staph infection like the last time. Going to try and see the doctor later today to get some meds. What a pain in the ass... Well, my eye hurts anyway and is a bit crusty. I know what it is, I should have gone in yesterday but wanted to wait till my day off... dumbass.
Finished reading "When Worlds Collide", a very old sci-fi novel but still one of my all time favorites. It was made into movie in the 50s, I'd kind of like to see it remade. The story stands up well and it would only need a few tweaks to update the technology to make it work. Heck, you can even keep the nuclear power system. Mr. Wylie definitely did his homework on the story.
Work is of course work. I'm going to have to learn the CR (computerized radiology) system in ortho so as to help cover lunches after I finish up in pain block. We'll be using this system, or one much like it when they complete the new hospital in a few years so it will be a good thing to know how to use. I just need to remember not to kill the PAs when they come in demanding their patients be taken in first ahead of however many other people are waiting. *sigh*
That's about it from here. The adoption is still going okay and when I have more news I'll let y'all know.
