Six Months...

At about 5 pm PST, it will be officially 6 months that Donna and I have had Xander in our lives.
So much has changed. His use of English continues to grow along with his vocabulary. He has begun to ask us if we are happy and that he misses us when we are at work.
Sunday was hard/amusing because when I was getting ready to go and I bent to kiss him goodbye, he'd reach up and say, "No, Daddy. Stay. Stay home..."
*melt*
I love this little guy. It hasn't been an easy 6 months, but things continue to improve. He's discovered Downtown Disney along with the LEGO store and was just about in Nirvana. He still thinks that after a big event, something bad is in store. This is something that will take time to work out. Fortunately, the future should hold a lot of big events to reinforce the idea that nothing bad is going to happen to him and that he is not going away. Also we should be getting the paperwork to file for the re-adoption process soon. Hopefully as he is a part of that and seeing how that finishes the adoption, it will make things better for him.
You're our little boy, Xander and we love you.
