Majel Barrett Roddenberry died today.
She was the voice of the computer in most of the series and of course Nurse Chapel who never quite managed to nab Spock in that first 5 year mission. I think she more than made up for it by chasing Jean Luc Picard around the saucer section as Lwaxsanna Troi. (Daughter of the Fifth House, holder of the Sacred Chalice of Riix, Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed.) I would have loved to see her at a Star Trek convention, by all reports, she was a hoot. (Never ever get her in the same room as Marina Sirtis. VERY dangerous, but fun.)
*sigh*
Yet another voice from the original Star Trek stilled. The jury is still out on this new 'Original Series' movie coming out next year. I'm sure the special effects will be awesome, but it just won't be the same with the roles being played by someone else. Still, I was the one who like Superman Returns, even with the different cast and the remake of Battle Star Galactica, so I'll probably give it a chance.
Rest well, we'll take it from here.
