On way to get Donna for lunch, a Toyota delivery guy walks up to me and asks if the dog he was holding was mine. He had found her running out into traffic on Torrance Blvd and was nearly hit by said driver. He said he'd take her if I couldn't but seeing as we have this nice big backyard and we were local, it was logical to take her in until I could find her owner.

But after I went out to lunch with Donna... ^^

I get home and she's doing the 'Dance of Joy' when I come to the back door. (Yes visions of Spice danced through my head) I sat down with her and took a couple of photos in the event I needed to make fliers then took her inside to find one of Spice's old leashes. Once I had the dog secure, we went out and I put her down.

First she peed under out old Christmas Tree out front, then took off like a shot down the road. We went down about half a block before she ran up to a door. There was an older gentleman out front.

M: "Excuse me, is this your dog?"
O: "Yes! Where did you find her?"
M: "A Toyota guy found her out on Torrance Blvd and nearly hit her. I put her in my backyard until I could find her home."
O: "Thank you so much!"

Her name is Lady and she lives about half a block up the street. She was waiting when I got home and although a bit scared and frantic, was still a lovable little dog and didn't even fight when I put on the leash.

So once more, the day is saved!
